Seven promising Lithuanian technology start-up companies have been given the exclusive opportunity to pitch to leading venture capital and private equity investors in London as part of the international entrepreneur and investors conference - “High tech innovation & investment: local to global", on 22nd June, 2010. Organised by The Lithuanian Business Confederation | ICC Lithuania, the start-up contest seeks to showcase the most promising Lithuanian start-ups that have the potential to grow into the next generation of significant, powerful and meaningful businesses.

The 15th Progress Report on the Single European Electronic Communications Market – 2009 prepared by the European Commission places Lithuania among EU’s leading countries in terms of the development of broadband infrastructure, mobile communications as well as digital television.
Lithuania is ranked 3rd leading among EU-27 in the development of fibre and wireless broadband connections, outpacing Denmark, Norway, Sweden, the Netherlands, Luxembourg and Germany.

Seed Forum International Foundation hosted its first pitch training in Vilnius on 30 April 2010. Pitch training was organized in collaboration with law company Foigt& Partners/Regija Borenius and public entity Sunrise Valley.

BaltCap has successfully attracted private fundraising for the first ever risk capital fund to invest into Lithuanian SMEs. This forms part of the EIF managed JEREMIE Holding Fund initiative in Lithuania.
