Delegations of 6 European countries gathered in Porto to know about Innovation examples of the North Region of Portugal

1st-2nd of March 2011, the project partners of the KTForce project have gathered in Porto, Portugal, to know about the best practices in innovation policies and knowledge transfer in the North Region. Through the study visit, the representative persons of Germany, France, Ireland, Lithuania and Romania were able to discover the knowledge and technology transfer eco-system of the University of Porto as well as the strategy of the North region of Portugal to improve its competitiveness.

Lithuania Opens an Office in Silicon Valley

The new office will seek to open new markets for American enterprises in the region, and establish Lithuania as a hub for US-based business on the European continent.

In a new effort to highlight emerging economic opportunities and the potential for American companies to take advantage of a growing market in Eastern Europe, Invest Lithuania announces the opening of its office in Silicon Valley, California. Invest Lithuania believes the new office will create a variety of new opportunities, particularly for US-based firms looking to establish or strengthen a presence in Lithuania or in the broader European market.
